MelanieHave you met Melanie?

Born and baptized in Toronto, Ontario, Melanie was raised in the Catholic faith and has spent most of her 44 years living in the western Greater Toronto Area (GTA) suburbs of Mississauga and Oakville. She has been married to her husband, Donny, for almost 20 years and together they are raising 3 daughters and 2 sons, ranging in age from 19 to 2 years old.

For over 25 years, Melanie has devoted her ‘people-person’ charisma and natural ‘gift of gab’ to honing her public relations skills within the service and hospitality industry. After almost 17 years, she is still blessed to be working at the Air Canada Centre and BMO Field as a suite attendant in the corporate boxes. She feels very privileged to prayerfully intercede for the multitude of co-workers and guests she has met and served over this time and is confident that the Lord hears her prayers to bless the Toronto Maple Leafs with a Stanley Cup win soon! (And she hopes that God sanctifies her lifetime of service as part of her path to holiness so that she may become the patron saint of sports arenas 😊).

After experiencing a profound reawakening in her faith about 10 years ago, she has been very active in various apostolates. Some of her experience includes participation in ‘Theology of the Body’ workshops, leadership assistance for a parish-based mother’s group and also for the ‘Rosary Apostolate’ (which is a diocesan-approved ministry that teaches/prays the rosary with students within local Catholic schools).

After joining the Regnum Christi Movement over 4 years ago, she has deepened her lay vocation by becoming an ‘Encounter with Christ’ team leader and Women’s Section Assistant. Her goal is to connect with many more people, helping them discern if they, too, have a personal call to enter into the embrace of the Regnum Christi family so that we may be strengthened in our mission of love and mercy and win an abundance of souls for Christ. +
